Today is a proud day for us, with the first international release of an LM band. Talkdemonic's Beat Romantic hits the shelves today in the UK and neighboring European nations. London based Tangled Up! Recordings, a subsidiary of One Little Indian releases the album today. Thus far, the new batch of press for the record has been stunning. The album features bonus material including a cover of Brian Eno's "Sombre Reptiles" and a video for "Mountain Cats". The album was preceded by the single for "Cascade Locks", which also includes a live version of "Manhattan '81" recorded this past June at the Earl in Atlanta, Georgia.

THE PLUG AWARDS were attended by Justin of HORSE FEATHERS and Kevin of TALKDEMONIC. On their trip out to NY, they were able to rep for Lucky Madison and Portland in general for a weekend of goodness with LMAD mastering engineer Jon Cohrs. The show was hosted by David Cross and was about half good musically, the best bands witnessed were Deerhoof and El P who stormed off in a big fuck you to the crowd that wasn't feeling him. HE WAS feeling it though. Other bands were not. Needless to say, we are proud of our nominees HORSE FEATHERS who were sadly outdone by the other stallion, Band of Horses. And much thanks to our Jon Cohrs for putting them up, and the lovely burg of Brooklyn for all the love, especially when Words are Dead came on at a fine record store in Williamsburg. Check the photos below.
